Hope for Haiti: Urgent Humanitarian Aid Campaign

As Haiti grapples with a multifaceted crisis, the need for urgent humanitarian aid has reached unprecedented levels. Political impasses, economic recession, soaring inflation, and escalating violence have created dire circumstances for the population. Armed gangs, particularly in the capital Port-au-Prince, have seized control, committing atrocities and displacing communities. The recent fuel subsidy elimination triggered widespread unrest, leading to prolonged blockades that paralyzed essential services, hindering humanitarian access. The closure of health and education facilities has left thousands without care and millions of children without education. Food insecurity has surged, affecting nearly half of the population, with 19,000 people facing catastrophic levels for the first time in Haiti’s history. Desperation has forced many to leave, while cholera cases, dormant for three years, resurfaced, impacting over 5.2 million Haitians in 2023. In response to this crisis, we launch a Humanitarian Aid campaign for Haiti, seeking funding. This campaign allocates for Food Security to combat hunger, for Shelter and Non-Food Items to address displacement challenges, and for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene to prevent the spread of diseases.
